Saw’s Barbecue in Homewood

Saw’s Barbecue in Homewood, Alabama, serves what may well be the moistest, most tender barbecue in the world. (I had started eating well before the picture. They give you a good bit of meat.)  Next time I go — and there will be a next time — I’ll try the ribs and also ask for no sauce. Theirs is a bit on the sweet side, and there’s just no need for sauce. The green beans were outstanding, the greens just so-so. Next time I’ll get a double portion of the beans.
