Update: Crazy morning and it’s going to be a crazy day. Getting ready for a trip that will limit my ability to update the site over the next week but I will do my best.

Links have been updated in a few cases. Schools finally got around to updating their stuff.

TLU up 1-0 on Albion. St Thomas tied 1-1 with Hendrix right now.

TLU up 2-0 and look likely to take this one. St Thomas up 2-1.

Whittier took the first set from Tufts. Nicely done. CC is up 1-0 in their match. As is Austin College. As is McMurry.

St Thomas drops the fourth and look likely to lose big in the fifth. TLU gets their sweep.

Austin College now tied 1-1 with Millsaps. McMurry heading for a sweep of Huntingdon. Same with CC over Marian. Whittier up 2-0 over Tufts after a 28-26 set two. Go Poets! Remember Tufts beat CC. Are we just seeing a down year for the SCAC and we don’t know it, yet?

Stepping a way for a few hours. Sorry. Use the links. Oh, and QPR tied 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday after the ugliest goal ever with no time left got us the tie.

Trinity’s losing streak is snapped at 4.

I was able to update some scores with the box scores. Another break for me. Back this evening. Crazy day.

Back a little after 7 pm my time. Some good games going on. CMS is beating ETBU 2-1. UMHB/Southwestern just started. Whitworth and Pomona-Pitzer are 1-1.

“Let’s go Romo!” Woohoo! Southwestern parents are close to the open mic. No announcer for this match?

ETBU with a nice early lead in set four. Trying to force a fifth. UMHB making a big run to pull back from 3 or 4 points back and are now a couple up in set one. Not only no announcer for CMS/ETBU but no score. Sigh.

Kind of funny that ETBU/CMS is on the back court at the Cal Lutheran tournament. I mean, I get it but this is probably the match of the tournament. Seems like hosts should recognize this and schedule these matches so they can have the big court.

CMS has caught ETBU at 14s in the fourth. Southwestern has caught UMHB at 21 in the first.

Set one to Southwestern 25-23. ETBU has opened a 2 point lead late. Still trying to force that fifth set.

ETBU gets set four. Looking for the reverse sweep. That hasn’t been too successful this weekend.

Wait! There is an announcer for UMHB/SU. Must have been some issues there.

Not watching the Whitworth/PP match but Whit wins 3-1. ETBU gets the turn 8-4.

Reverse Sweep Activated. ETBU comes back for the 3-2 win over CMS.

SU up by 5 but UMHB has come back to tie it at 20s.

Four CMS players with double-digit kills. Solvej Eversoll led the way with 17. ETBU had 3 players with Graycee Mosley leading everyone with 22.

Lily McWhorter gets a couple of blocks at the end of set two to seal the deal for the Pirates. UMHB will need, dare I say it, a reverse sweep if they want this match.

CMS still has to play Whitworth tonight. Tough opponent after going 5 with ETBU.

Looking at the SU/UMHB stats and I’m not sure how SU is winning.

Southwestern gets the sweep over UMHB. That was the Cru’s 5th match this week, which seems crazy.

SU just blew out UMHB in that 3rd set but the first two sets were close. Stats were really even. SU worse prior to the 3rd set and slightly better after. Block came up big at the right times for SU. The loss to HSU by SU was rough. I think HSU will have a decent NPI but that’s a missed opportunity. UMHB will be fine with this loss but remember with their weaker schedule they don’t have a lot of chances to improve hiccups. HSU lost to UMHB in 5-sets this week and beat SU in 5-sets. Small margins.

We are seeing a dominate team the likes we haven’t seen in 20+ years with WashU. Okay…maybe Central (Iowa).

Wow. I just 1500 words. My fault for not saving but I haven’t seen Word mess up like that in a long time. Ugh.

CMS looks like they are getting the sweep. Puget Sound and CLU are split. Final update probably coming tomorrow sometime.

Random Thoughts: More of the same today.

TLU gets Albion today, which should be a good match.

Whittier continues their NE swing getting MIT and Calvin today. Yikes!

Trinity will be hosting Eastern and Covenant. Both did well last year. Again, TU needs some wins today.

ETBU continues at Cal Lutheran. They get UCSC and CMS today. The winner will face off against TLU for the acronym championship.

Whitworth is also at the Cal Lutheran tournament and play Pomona-Pitzer and CMS. Both should be really good matches. I think Whitworth could be really good.

Southwestern faces UMHB. These schools are 30 minutes apart and need to be playing every year. This will be a match that will really show what Mary Hardin-Baylor has this season. Remember, I complain about their schedule but not their talent. They know how to bring the hammer. Whomever wins, this will be a big NPI match. If UMHB wins, since they play a weaker schedule, they will be positioned nicely for an at-large bid, if they need one. Loses are also more painful for UMHB because of that schedule.
