Saturday, Oct 22 Match Day!

Updates: Late updates may not happen until tomorrow. I’m going to drop a couple of links so you can check scores in addition to the links below.

NCAA Scoreboard

Ricky Nelson’s Site

Ricky has the Top 25 listing although his updates may be late, too. I think mine will be later.

UCSC with the reverse sweep over La Verne. They are getting some close matches this week. Maybe teams are extra up for them since they are now ranked?

CMS dropped their first set in conference play this season. Win 3-1 over Pomona-Pitzer.

Willamette over Whitworth. The NWC is wide open this season.

All in except Cal Lu and Whittier. That was 5-sets and things broke down it seems. I believe aliens took over both teams. Okay. Just checked Twitter. Cal Lu won. Stand down on the aliens talk. That’s just crazy.

Random Thoughts: Links could be missing or wrong. I wrote this on Tuesday but will try to update during the week.

Full slate of matches. SCAC is still down in Trinity (at least most of them are).

Concordia/UTD – This is a match I really wanted to go to but won’t be able to make.

UMHB/LETU is a good ASC matchup and one that has seeding implications.

UCSC/La Verne is a rare matchup of potential regionally ranked teams. Big for both.

CMS/Pomona-Pitzer – Time is running short for SCIAC teams to make a name at CMS expense.

Not sure Whittier still has a chance at the conference tournament but, if they do, they need this against CLU.

All of the NWC matches are big tonight. Each has a team that is still in the running.
