RX In Puerto Galera

Oh wow.  When we headed for Puerto Galera last Friday, I had no idea what to expect because I haven’t been there in such a long time!  We left really early and caught the Morning Rush version of Gino, Jolly, Albert and Suzie, and we had a blast listening to them.  I was so shocked to see how much the place has changed!  I was never a big Galera fan, because I found it a bit dingy for my taste.  But I must say, it cleaned up pretty well and I can’t wait to come back for a vacation this time.

We stayed in Marco Vincent Dive Resort and Delle and I bunked in together.  There were camera crews from ABS-CBN and Studio 23, and everyone’s just abuzz with summer and the beach!

We just swam the whole day (and started early with the rum coke), and took in as much sun as we can and people watched and just had so much unexpected fun.  I really NEED to soak in the briny waters as much as I can.  There’s something about salty water that just feels sooo good.  I was supposed to sleep all day, given that I had to wake up early the next day for a photo shoot.  But we just had so much fun swimming.

It wasn’t long before night fell, and we started getting ready for the party.  We hosted the party of the resort we were in, Marco Vincent, for the launch of their new dive boat, Lady Merci.

After that, we saw that crowds started to gather by the stage where our set-up was.  The party atmosphere was in the air.  There were SOOO many people coming in that morning, so the beach was packed.  We couldn’t wait to start because the party wasn’t set to start until 10pm.

So we hardly realized that we kept on drinking rum coke and getting tipsier by the minute.  It was just nice that people were approaching us telling us that they went to Galera specifically to join the RX Hot Summer Fling!  That was way cool.

I also had to buy some stuff to wear for the party.  I was just glad I got to buy a shirt that’s more beach-appropriate.  I forgot that we were hosting by the seashore.

Next up in part 2: The Party!
