Ricky Nelson’s 2013 preseason top 10 (expanded)

As most know I post my weekly top 10 during the regular season, and the preseason top 10 provides a wider scope. It’s not an exhaustive list of every team I would like to rank, but lists have to end somewhere.

If you ask yourself, “Who?” with any of the following teams, look them up. I may very well be wrong about these teams this year, but here are my hunches several weeks before the season’s first serve.

1. St. Thomas 2. Puget Sound 3. Saint Benedict 4. Wittenberg 5. Calvin 6. Wisconsin-Whitewater 7. Elmhurst 8. Washington-St. Louis 9. Wartburg 10. Mount Union My next 30 (in no particular order): Otterbein; Chicago; Emory; Hope; Cal Lutheran; Colorado College; Cornell; Juniata; Christopher Newport; Northwestern; Eastern; Benedictine; Pacific Lutheran; Trinity (Texas); Washington and Lee; Carthage; Concordia-Moorhead; Clarkson; Webster; Chapman; Middlebury; Wisconsin-Eau Claire; Bowdoin; Wisconsin-Stevens Point; Thomas More; Southwestern; Cortland State; DePauw; Wellesley; Stevenson.
