Review: Supervision’s 15 new color-splitting layered watercolors
Hi friends, Supervision came out with 15 new granulating watercolors that are available in packs of 3 different colors on Amazon. These are in addition to the fun but fugitive 10-tube pack they released last year. By no means are the new colors 100% lightfast but they are better. Watch the review to learn more about the pigments used.
Pros:
Great granulation
Fun color splits
Great for backgrounds and special effects
Pigment info included
Cons:
Some of the reds, yellow and orange pigments used are not completely reliable and may fade out of mixes over time
Only available in 3 tube packs on amazon (but you can get a 15 tube set on aliexpress-same per tube price tho- and they may have single tubes there too)
Bottom line: they are fun and I like them. I’d use them for backgrounds in combination with other nonlightfast media or for cards. If you want a truly lightfast option, or want to save some money just buy the granulating pigment and mix your own.
