Review: Sanjoki Upgraded Alcohol Brush Markers with 40% More Ink

Hi friends! A couple of years ago, I reviewed the Sanjoki Art Markers because I was looking for an affordable set that I could recommend for my Alcohol Marker Workshop. The Sanjoki brush markers fit the bill; they were affordable, had an adequate color range, and had brush tips. However, they eventually went out of stock, and I worried that we would never see them again. They are back now with 40% more ink and a different numbering system, but the quality is just as good. You can find them here. Watch the video for a full comparison and review.

Pros:

  • Price (33 cents a marker)

  • Reversible brush nibs (if one frays, pull it out and insert it the other way)

  • Chisel nibs

  • Comes with a color swatch and a marker pad

  • Good color selection

  • Nice storage case

  • Large ink capacity

Cons:

  • No ink refills or open stock options

  • Some colors are too similar.

Bottom line: You can’t beat this set for quality and price. I highly recommend it to someone just starting out who wants to learn without spending a lot and without sacrificing quality. This is also good for an experienced marker user who wants a 2nd set for travel that they don’t have to worry about losing, as the price is so good compared to 120 copics that would cost over $700! It’s a steal of a deal!

I hope this helps you decide if these markers are for you. Happy crafting!
