Review: OLO Markers
Hi friends! Today we are going to look at OLO markers. They are a newcomer to the alcohol marker scene and a little different from what we have seen before. Instead of a felt pad in the center of the marker barrel to hold the ink, it is free-flowing liquid ink. In today’s video, we will explore these markers, see how they work, and figure out if they are good or just a gimmick.
Disclaimer: These markers were provided by OLO for review and affiliate links are used in this post. You can find these markers on the OLO website, Blick, and other retailers. I had some viewers inquire about the colors I picked so here is my swatch chart.

I combined a dark and light shade for easy blending and stored them in a nurse’s clipboard so I could see the colors easily. Having different colors on each end would not be ideal for storage in a rack system.
Pros:
Good quality
You can customize the colors in your marker
Replaceable ink cartridges and nibs
Free-flowing ink means you get 90% use of ink vs 60% from normal markers
Logical color mixing system
160 colors All products are available open stock
Mess-free refilling
Cons:
The only potential con would be if the company closed because the only way to refill the markers is to buy their custom cartridges.
Overall I think the quality is excellent and the price is fair. It is not going to be the best choice for someone on a budget who needs a lot of colors but for artists who want a specific color palette or want to invest in a quality marker system, I recommend them. The ink flows like a normal alcohol marker so alcohol marker users shouldn’t have much of a learning curve getting used to these.
I hope you found this review useful and til next time happy crafting!
