Region Leaders

In the past, I’ve tended not to do regional statistical leaders throughout the season but I thought I’d give it a try this year. Less things to write about and all. We’ll see if the masses enjoy it or not and whether I should continue it in the future.

The NCAA Statistics database was finally updated with the DIII numbers this morning after enough matches had been played nationally. My cover photo is of Mya Ross (Howard Payne) who leads the nation in Kills per Set with 4.5. Katharine Carley (Puget Sound) leads the nation in Blocks per Set with 1.33. Yes, it’s early but let’s take props when we can get them!

Other national leaders from the West Region are:

• Emily Dulaney (Pacific Lutheran) 2nd in Assists per Set (9.71)

• Kaitlyn Elsten (Howard Payne) 2nd in Aces per Set (1.00)

• Courtney Edge (LeTourneau) 4th in Aces per Set (0.90)

• Mya Ross (Howard Payne) 3rd in Points per Set (4.62)
