Volleyball Playing Systems – Reception, Defence, Free Ball

Okay, it has been a while since the last post.  There are quite a few updates that I want to write about so I will endeavour to write them up within the next month.  To ease me back into blogging, this first post is a simple one about volleyball playing systems of reception, defence and free ball situations.  I create a nice little power point slide (the animation doesn’t work unfortunately).  I thought it would be a good blog post to write if other volleyball coaches out there needed information like this (like I did at one point).  I created it for City University London Volleyball Club.  Below is that power point slide.

*** Update 20 January 2021 | I originally put in an OneDrive link but it doesn’t work any more.  I probably have deleted it.  With WordPress, I can now insert a link to download files.  So enjoy that.  I’m not going to lie but I am quite impressed I tried to do this back then.  To note, how I play the system now hasn’t changed much since I wrote this power point slide.  A big difference is I now have the player at 1 defend tips and player at 6 defending the line ***
