Reading your STARS Report
Need to see which GE’s you have taken? Curious about how many units you have left to take? Look no further. All pertinent information regarding your scholastic history at USC can be found on a single page: your STARS report. Located under OASIS on your my.usc.edu portal, the STARS report provides a clear listing of a student’s degree requirements that have been met, are in-progress and those that remain to be fulfilled (if any). The STARS report also contains information regarding a student’s expected graduation date (after approximately 80 units have been completed), diploma information (after approximately 80 units have been completed), and other personal information at the top of the page. The STARS report also provides a key for students at the bottom of the page, which explains colors and symbols regarding student’s courses. Listed below is a demonstration of how to access and read your STARS report.
To access your STARS report, log on to my.usc.edu, click on OASIS under student links, and the STARS report link will be on the main OASIS tab (see below).
At the top of your STARS report, you will see the page below, which provides clear options for you to see your major requirements and minor requirements, if applicable. By clicking the blue links, you will go to that specific section of the stars report. It also lists your diploma information as previously mentioned (after approximately 80 units have been completed).

The red and blue color-code for texts tell you if a requirement has been fulfilled or unfulfilled. As shown above, red text means that requirements are unfulfilled and blue text means that a requirement has been fulfilled.
The legend featured at the bottom of your STARS report (see below) provides all other information regarding your registration at USC and definitions, which allow you to read your report with ease.

Give yourself a few minutes to explore the page and it’s guaranteed that you will love the ease of which you can access your academic information!
