RAMMSTEIN – Rammstein | The Lost Highway OST (1997) | David Lynch tribvte

David Lynch, known for his unconventional approach to filmmaking, appreciated the atmospheric, heavy sound of Rammstein’s music. Their blend of pounding rhythms, deep vocals, and industrial textures complemented the psychological and unsettling tone of the movie.

Rammstein’s song featured in David Lynch’s movie Lost Highway (1997) is “Rammstein” from their debut album Herzeleid (1995). The track appears prominently in the film’s soundtrack and plays during a dramatic and intense scene that aligns perfectly with the band’s dark, industrial style and Lynch’s surreal, eerie aesthetic.

In addition to “Rammstein,” the film’s soundtrack, produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, features contributions from other industrial and alternative music artists such as Marilyn Manson, David Bowie, and The Smashing Pumpkins. This collaboration between Lynch and Rammstein helped introduce the band to a broader international audience, as Lost Highway was released just before Rammstein’s breakthrough with their second album, Sehnsucht.
