Quick Product Review: Kirkland Signature Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner
I have used a lot of different brands of shampoo and conditioner over the years. I have never been particularly loyal to a brand for extended periods of time because my “goals” changed over time. The first time I started caring about the haircare was probably in middle school. At that time, the trend seemed to be “the stronger the scent the better” (I remember that the majority of birthday presents came from Bath and Body Works or the Body Shop). I liked the fruity scents (e.g., raspberry; peach; apple), regardless of the quality of the materials. Then I went through an Herbal Essences phase. Following that, we started buying shampoo and conditioner at BJs and Costco (usually Dove or Pantene).
More recently, I have used the Kirkland brand and it definitely serves my needs. Several years ago, I saw a fancier brand on discount at Costco and reviewed it (Product Review: Shea Moisure 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Shampoo and Conditioner). If it were on sale again, I’d definitely buy it again. I loved the light coconut smell and the high quality of the product. However, on a regular basis, the Kirkland is great.
The products are sold in 33.8-ounce bottles, each for $12. The bottles last a long time because not much is needed for each wash. The pump is easy to use and results in little wasted product. The smell is nice but not too strong. The shampoo is not overly drying, which I like because I prefer to wash my hair every day. I actually frequently only use the shampoo and find that even without the conditioner, my hair does not end up knotty.
After reviewing the products, I read some other reviews (overall it gets 4.7/5 stars) and saw that most of the comments are very consistent with mine.
Do you use this shampoo and conditioner?
