I am happy that Putney Girls, the other team I coached, have finished 3rd in the league (http://www.londonvolleyball.org.uk/modules/news/index.php?storytopic=8).  They won 14 matches and lost 4.  Of the 14 matches they won, 13 of them were 3-0, which is impressive (http://lva.leaguerepublic.com/DisplayTeam.do?divisionseason=4707563&teamID=5379541).  The 4 matches they lost were against the top 2 teams (both home and away).

There’s something to be learned from having a well-run club, players’ dedication to training and (some might say) good coaching.  Of the matches I have seen them play (I don’t coach at matches), it was nice to see great team organisation, i.e. every player knew their positioning and responsibilities.  I felt that was their biggest strength and what elevated them to 3rd.

Well done Putney Girls!
