Product Review: Yasso Mint Chocolate Chip Bars

I have mentioned several times that I much prefer scooped ice cream over novelties. However, in my recent review of the Healthy Choice Organic Fudge Bars (Product Review: Healthy Choice Organic Fudge Bars), I wrote about Fudgcicles being one of the few novelties that I always liked. After eating some of those bars and being reminded of how much I like them, I decided to try the Yasso

Mint Chocolate Chip Frozen Greek Yogurt bars. I had never tried any Yasso products before, due to my lack of enthusiasm for most bars and to the price. However, I was pleasantly surprised and glad I tried them.

The bars are larger than I would have expected, given that they are only 100 calories. I ate two at a time. However, for most people, I think one would be satisfying. The mint is strong but not overwhelming. It is slightly “fake” and overly sweet but less so than I have found in frozen yogurt or light ice cream in the past. The chips are thin and varied in size and extremely plentiful. I ate the bars on extremely hot days and as they melted, the large amount of chips became even more apparent. The bars were also very pretty, with a very light green color. They had a thin.coating of ice, but it disappeared after the first lick.

Boxes contain 15 bars and cost between $14-15. They are still relatively pricey, but far less than they cost at the grocery store.
