PROBOSCI – Live at the Redwood Gardens, Santa Cruz, CA (2016)

PROBOSCI is an electroacoustic chamber music collaboration between guitarist Gyan Riley and violinist Timba Harris. Both composers, whose work is featured in John Zorn’s Tzadik Records Composers’ Series, contribute to the interplay between composition and improvisation, steeped with intricacy, subtlety, and shape-shifting energy. Timba Harris was the violinist for Estradasphere and Secret Chiefs 3. Gyan Riley is the son of Terry Riley.

Gyan and Timba Team up to bring you an amazing musical experience taking you across sonic landscapes that will be sure to tickle your fancy one way or another. Recorded at the beautiful Redwood Gardens venue nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains on a less than summery feeling June 18th of 2016. This was the Second Annual Summer Solstice event.
