Director: Garry Marshall

Starring: Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, Hector Elizondo

A man in a legal but hurtful business needs an escort for some social events, and hires a beautiful prostitute he meets… only to fall in love.

Another great example of a naturally funny comedy, thanks mostly to Julia Roberts’ wonderful portrayal as the prostitute. Wonderful premise and wonderful acting. The chemistry between Richard Gere and Julia Roberts makes it work to credible perfection. This is one of my all-time favorite comedies.

The film was a huge success, earning $463 million on a $14 million budget! It also received numerous awards and nominations, including Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Film.
