Pre-Trip To Do List: One Month To Go!
A lot has happened since my last to-do list! As is typical with all to-do lists, for every item we crossed off, it seemed like we added two more! We’re getting into the home stretch now as today marks exactly one month until lift off!
I’m confident that we’ll get all of these things crossed off our list by the time we go! (confident = fairlyyy certain with only a teensy tiny bit of apprehension). To Do List:
Previous Items:
Apply for New Zealand working holiday visas – we’ve run into a few snags with this, so we may be postponing this until we get there.
Rent storage locker for our stuff
Get health/travel insurance
Book first hostel in Nicaragua
Cancel cable
Sell car (Tracey) – the deal is almost finalized though!
Start packing up apartment – HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. We’re screwed. Who knew such a tiny apartment could hold so much stuff??!?!?!
Go to the dentist!!
Order monthly contacts
Book Flights!
Get joint credit card
Reserve spots on Inca Trail/Machu Picchu
Hand in letter of resignation at work
Give 60-day notice at apartment building
Renew passport (Mac)
New Additions (& Completions):
Get renters insurance for storage locker
Set up change of address with Canada Post
Unlock phone –and learn what this means…
Throw going away party! –I’ll be posting about it later this week!
Start Christmas shopping – not even travel related, but I need the kick in the butt to get going!!
Finish shopping for trip stuff – things still to buy: underwater camera, some pieces of clothing (sandals, a dress, shorts), day pack, camera strap & UV filter, and probably more things that I’m forgetting
There has definitely been a LOT more to do than I initially expected (who knew you can’t just pause life for a year with a minimal amount of effort??), but looking at all that we’ve completed makes me feel fairly accomplished (and less anxious!). I’m predicting the next 30 days will fly by![/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
