A helpful summer.

Well, so far! There is little evidence of sun scorch on the vulnerable varieties, this year. The grass has remained green  even on this light land. Ragwort has thrived to considerable heights.

On tbe pest side, Codling moth appear to be less prevalent than recent years. More damaging are the local Muntjac deer nibbling not just leaves and shoots but also any low hanging fruit which they can reach.

Finishing on a practical note – telephones! The landline here is currently very unreliable and while incoming calls may be directed to voicemail it is impossible for me to access them , or indeed check on the number of the most recent incoming call.

For a practical solution to this problem, please dial my mobile number – 07481469312 to leave a voice mail message, of course, a text may be sent. I will then register your contact and be in touch with you shortly.
