The WNBA is expanding to Portland in 2026. Now the team has decided on a new team name. They will be known as the Portland Fire.

I really like the logo it’s a flaming rose. I also like the red and black color scheme for the team. It’s a pretty unique name, not super popular and it seems to fit in with the rest of the team names in the WNBA.

I would grade the name a solid B it’s a good name and a good logo. I can’t wait to see what the jerseys are going to look like as well. Though for now vote with your grade for the Portland Fire name.
