The WNBA has announced that Portland will be getting an expansion team. The team will begin play in 2026 and become the 15th team in the league following expansion to Golden State and Toronto.

Moda Center in downtown Portland will serve as the team’s home area. Though nothing has been announced as to the name or logo for the team.

I can’t wait to see more details as they arrive on the team. In the meantime, it’s nice to see an new WNBA team being announced.
