Director: Gary Sherman

Starring: Heather O’Rourke, Tom Skerritt, Nancy Allen

Carol Anne is staying with her aunt in a high-rise building, where the supernatural forces haunting her make their return.

Oh no, what have they done? They’ve ruined a perfectly good franchise. ‘Poltergeist 3’ proves there really wasn’t anything more to tell in this saga.

Carol Anne now lives with her aunt and uncle in a luxury business and residential building. The Tall Man soon finds her and mayhem follows. There is no suspense here. Nothing felt original anymore. It was like a rehash of previous films – but done badly. The story is just preposterous. It is completely unbelievable as they pushed it to the max. It was like a dream sequence upon dream sequence with little making sense. It was just a whole bunch of ideas mixed together but nothing gelled.

There was so much yelling and screaming that it became annoying. And how many times must they call out to Carol Anne?? Tangina (Zelda Rubenstein) is also so ‘been there, done that’… Ugh, enough already!

There were some good practical effects and the lighting effects weren’t all too bad, but as a whole ‘Poltergeist 3’ is one big mess of a film.

Would I watch it again? Nope!
