The Pitt Panthers travel to Cincinnati to face the Bearcats in an early season road test. Who will win the River City Rivalry?

The host Bearcats are 1-0 on the year after a 38-20 win over Townson quarterback Brendan Sorsby threw for 383 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Xzavier Henderson led the receiving with seven catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. Even Pryor rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on just four rushing attempts.

Pitt thumped Kent State 55-24 in their opening contest of the season. Eli Holstein went 30-40 for 333 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. Desmon Reid ran for 145 yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts. He also scored on a 78- yard punt return. Kenny Johnson had seven catches for 105 yards and a touchdown to lead the Panther in receiving.

Nate Yarnell also saw time at quarterback for Pitt going 4-8 for 33 yards and a touchdown.

The last meeting between the two teams was last year on September 9th, 2023. The Bearcats got the best of the host Panthers 27-21.

My prediction for the game is Cincinnati wins 30-27.
