Pitt Panthers Football 10/5/24 Against North Carolina Preview

This week the Pitt Panthers open up ACC conference play in football against North Carolina. Let’s preview the action.

Pitt comes into the game 4-0 for the first time sense 2000. This has them receiving votes in the rankings, but not in the top 25 yet. They defeated Youngstown St. 73-17 on September 21st, 204 in their last game. They had a bye this past week heading into their ACC opener.

North Carolina is 3-2 and 0-1 in the ACC. They dropped their first conference game to Duke 21-20. They have lost their last two games after starting the season 3-0.

UNC leads the all-time series 12-5. The last meeting between the two teams was last season with UNC winning 41-24. They also won the 2022 contest. Can UNC go for three in a row against the Panthers and spoil their undefeated streak?

I don’t think so, I’m predicting a 35-28 win for Pitt.
