Pitt is set to host Boston College this week in an ACC football matchup. Let’s preview the game.

Pitt enters the contest 2-2 and 0-1 in the ACC. They have lost back-to-back games after losing to Louisville last week 34-27. The loss was Pitt’s sixth straight loss in conference play dating back to last season.

The loss was another second half collapse as a 10-point half time lead vanished thanks to being outscored 17 to 0 in the second half with 14 of those Louisville points coming in the fourth quarter.

Eli Holstein went 14 of 26 passing for 228 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He was benched for Cole Gonzales on the final drive. However, he is still the starter for this week.

Boston College enters this matchup at 1-3 and 0-2 in the ACC. They are on a three-game losing streak after a 28-24 loss to California, which also came as a result of a fourth quarter collapse.

Pitt is playing Boston College for the 35th time. They lead the all-time series 18-16. Boston College won the latest matchup 34-23 last season.

Pitt looks to be favored in this matchup though. I think if the offense gets back on track they should be in good shape and should be able to win this one. My predictions is 35-28 Pitt wins.
