Pirates sending nine to Arizona Fall League in 2024

Rosters have been announced for the 2024 Arizona Fall League. The Pittsburgh Pirates will be sending nine players to become members of the Scottsdale team.

Termarr Johnson is the highest rated Pirates prospect head to the AFL. This comes off a season where he was promoted to double-a for the first time.

Khristian Curtis a right-handed pitcher and 27th ranked Pirates prospect made the team after a year with Bradenton. Derek Diamond, Mike Burrows, Brandon Bidois and Eddy Yean make up the rest of the pitching prospects contingent heading to Scottsdale.

Sammy Siani, Kervin Pichard and Geovanny Planchart are the position players that made the team along with Johnson.

I’m surprised that the top 30 list isn’t more represented with only three prospects from the list being selected. However, this could be seen as an opportunity to see some of the lesser-known Pirates prospects shine. It’s good to see so many players get selected though.
