Pick your Worlds team before Nationals. And Gymcats drama

I am not condoning this team, I will just be very surprised if the World team doesn’t feature, Simone, Jordan, Shilese, Jade, and Suni. I would add Skye and I also think Skye is going to win the Silver AA medal this year at Nationals. While she was overscored by US standards, I thought she looked great and seems to be building towards something. That is what every gymnast should be doing before the Olympics.

Vault- Jordan, Jade, Simone Uneven Bars- Jordan/Simone, Suni, Shilese Balance Beam- ???? Suni. Simone Floor- Jordan/Suni, Jade, Simone

The only weak link here is the Balance Beam.

IF Suni has a bar routine. Then again the US weakest event is beam. Shilese isn’t very good. Jade is overscored and cheats all her leaps and jumps. Skye can be inconsistent. Jordan can be inconsistent. Forget your super vault lineup. BEAM is your nemesis.

I know people think Joscelyn has a chance to be added to this team outright for the super vault lineup or take over Jade “free ride” Carey’s spot but there is no way that is happening. Alicia already likes every one of Jade’s posts on Instagram like she is her God child or something and Chellsie is even worse when it comes to being biased in favor of her. I just don’t see that happening.

For some reason, US gym fans like to perpetuate the myth that the US is a weak bar lineup, but without Russia in the mix, and China being so damn inconsistent, they really are not. Not with Simone’s score on vault landing somewhere outside the southern hemisphere when it comes to outscoring everyone else. The low 14 score by countless people makes up for it.

The one gymnast people seem concerned about is Jordan Chiles. I get it but I also remember people thinking the same thing the last 2 years and looking like fools. I have stopped counting out Jordan Chiles.

SO WHAT IF…

I would take Suni just for beam but I would understand if they didn’t. So let’s say any of the above gymnasts is finally scored fairly and left off the US World team based on name, who could fill in?

I refuse to go by US scoring and picking a gymnast like Kaliya Lincolnfor her Floor routine. She has no dance ability whatsoever. Joscelyn Roberson has a decent enough scored Cheng (DTY) and scored well on Floor outside the US the last few times she competed, but a team with her and Jade may look good on a vault-heavy paper, it would wreak havoc on beam and bars, and how fair is it to make Simone Biles all 4 events during team finals?

Then we have Zoe Miller on bars. I have raked this gymnast over the coals for her horrible form in the past but she is actually improving with every meet. If you’re taking a one-event gymnast she is a viable option for bars. She got rid of that horrible bent whatever it was before her dismount, and while a few of her handstands are short, her form actually looks decent, and that is coming from a bar nitpicker like myself and someone who really doesn’t like this girl as a person.

Tiana Sumanasekera has shown me nothing since being a senior. I won’t count her out for next year, however… Simone’s coaches seem to do wonders with bringing in the consistency and chucking skills, Tiana may be too pretty of a gymnast to succeed under that.

Same with, Kayla DiCello. Maybe next year when she has more training under her belt but much like the gymnasts I MUST HAVE ON THE OLYMPIC TEAM, The US judges refuse to score them with the special treatment they harp on the Jade Carey’s of the world, so unless they hit it out of the park, they won’t be on any big team in the next year.

The once were chances in the nonolympic year, World team decision-making…

Lexi Zeiss… Addison Fatta… Levi Jung-Ruivivar… Elle Mueller… Enjoy College. Which leads me to the one and only…..

The US judges let it be known by your Floor score, they don’t want you on this team. Your best bet is to code whore some 6 start values and be the Leanne Wong of 2021, who all of a sudden became the most consistent gymnast on the planet. I NEED you on the 2024 Olympic team.

This was the best Floor routine Leanne has done in years and they found 7.900 in deductions. Alicia and Chellsie aren’t liking every one of her Instagram posts like they are Jade, Simone, Jordan and all the Olympians. They don’t care about her being the only other US gymnast to trend during the US Classic. They don’t care that Leanne’s artistry could outsell their pets by about a trillion and a half billion rubles. Or care that the international judges score her better then the US ones do. She is going to have to come to Nationals and finish second, so they have no choice but to add her to this Worlds team, and let’s be real. that isn’t happening even if she does.

First the Gymcats drama. Thanks, anon for sending me the fun. Tasha Schwkierts old gym. You know who knew Tasha was being mistreated and did nothing all of a sudden has a conscious. Simone being labeled lazy allegedly isn’t actually as untrue as it seems. Look at Simone and what she excels in. The power events. Even beam she powers her way through that. I’ve actually heard that Simone not working as hard as others thing for years. I heard the same thing about Gabby. And that came from a person in the know. The best insider I ever had told me she is so naturally strong that things come easy to her and she didn’t work as hard as everyone else in the gym. Why people are bringing Simone into this is disgusting.
