Pick your movie of the week: Poker (April 13-19, 2025)

This weekend I was at a friend’s house where we were celebrating a few people’s birthdays. My friend’s son and his fiancee brought their brand new poker game set, and I was invited to play with a handful of others. I agreed to try, and had a lot of fun. Even though most of the time I didn’t know what I was doing. To my surprise, and to everyone else’s, I ended up winning the whole pot in the end. So this week, we have 3 nominees that all have poker being played as a prominent part of the movie. Vote for one with a comment to become our movie of the week:

Maverick (1994)

Casino Royale (2006)

Molly’s Game (2017)
