Pick your movie of the week: Katharine Hepburn (July 2-8, 2023)

I just finished watching Call Me Kate, a new documentary about Katharine Hepburn streaming on Netflix. She truly led a remarkable career and is one of the most decorated actors of the 20th century. So let’s take 3 of her classics–each from a different decade–to choose our movie of the week. Comment with your vote:

The Philadelphia Story (1940)When a rich woman’s ex-husband and a tabloid-type reporter turn up just before her planned remarriage, she begins to learn the truth about herself.

The African Queen (1951)In WWI East Africa, a gin-swilling Canadian riverboat captain is persuaded by a strait-laced English missionary to undertake a trip up a treacherous river and use his boat to attack a German gunship.

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967)A couple’s attitudes are challenged when their daughter introduces them to her African-American fiancé.
