Pick your movie of the week: Holiday Songs from the Movies (Dec 18-23 /22)

There are some pretty huge hits from movies that have made it into our rotation of popular Christmas songs on the radio, over the department stores loud speakers, and in our homes. These 4 are amoung the biggest, if not the biggest. So choose according to movie, song, or whatever you darn well please. Here they are:

Holiday Inn (1942)“WHITE CHRISTMAS” — Bing Crosbyand Marjorie Reynolds

Meet Me in St. Louis (1944)“HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS” — Judy Garland

Neptune’s Daughter (1949)“BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE” — Betty Garrett and Red Skelton*

The Lemon Drop Kid (1951)“SILVER BELLS” — Bob Hope and Marilyn Maxwell

* Though I haven’t seen it, I believe it also sung by Ricardo Montalban and Esther Williams as well in this same movie.
