Pick your movie of the week: Hidden Gems (Apr 4-10/21)

The following are all movies that I love a lot. But for some reason, I can’t seem to find anyone who has seen them, let alone like them. I also find they don’t get talked about very much movie circles. I’ve listed the plot synopsis below each title and you can vote on which one you think you’d be more likely to be interested in. Or if you happened to have seen one, maybe throw that one a vote.

The Fall (2006)In a hospital on the outskirts of 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman begins to tell a fellow patient, a little girl with a broken arm, a fantastic story of five mythical heroes. Thanks to his fractured state of mind and her vivid imagination, the line between fiction and reality blurs as the tale advances. <drama/fantasy>

The Death of Stalin (2017)Moscow, 1953. After being in power for nearly thirty years, Soviet dictator Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin takes ill and quickly dies. Now the members of the Council of Ministers scramble for power. <satirical comedy>

Capernaum (2018)After running away from his negligent parents, committing a violent crime and being sentenced to five years in jail, a hardened, streetwise 12-year-old Lebanese boy sues his parents in protest of the life they have given him. <realistic drama>
