Pick your movie of the week: Gene Hackman! (Aug 21-27/15)

Happy 250th post!

And we will celebrate with a great actor. He hasn’t done much lately (His last project was 11 years ago: Welcome to Mooseport. Can’t end on that note Gene. You’re much better than that one!), but he’s a classic actor who’s been in a lot of great movies. Here are three for you to mull over for movie of the week:

1. The French Connection(1971, EMP #113; 8 Oscar noms and 5 wins; 5 Bafta noms and 2 wins; 4 Golden Globe noms and 1 win)

2. Mississippi Burning(1988, 7 Oscar noms and 1 win; 5 Bafta noms and 3 wins; 4 Golden Globe noms)

3. Unforgiven(1992, IMDb #113; 9 Oscar noms and 4 wins; 5 Bafta noms and 1 win; 5 Golden Glob noms and 2 wins)
