Pick your movie of the week: Documentaries (Feb 11-17, 2024)

This past month I’ve watched two amazing documentaries, and I’m currently in the middle of a third. One of the ones I saw in January was made by an Indian-born Canadian named Nisha Pahujah, and it is nominated for Best Documentary at the Oscars this year. So since great docs are on my mind, I thought this would be a good week to vote on a few of my favourite ones I’ve watched in the past. If you haven’t seen them, I’m including the IMDb plot descriptions below each title. Pick one to be our movie of the week, and vote in a comment:
When We Were Kings (1996)♦ Boxing documentary on the 1974 world heavyweight championship bout between defending champion, George Foreman, and the underdog challenger,Muhammad Ali. ♦
RBG (2018)♦ The exceptional life and career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who has developed a breathtaking legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. ♦
Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) (2021)♦ Documentary about the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival which celebrated African-American music and culture and promoted Black pride and unity. ♦
