Pick your movie of the week: Criterion (Jan 19-25, 2025)

If you’ve never heard of it, The Criterion Collection is a company that, according to their website, “is dedicated to gathering the greatest films from around the world and publishing them in DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K editions of the highest technical quality, with supplemental features that enhance the appreciation of the art of film.” They also have a channel that streams most of their collection.

There are a ton of films in it that you likely wouldn’t have seen or maybe even heard of, but there are a lot of well recognized movies as well. Our three nominees are all pretty well known titles from the collection, one from each of the last 3 decades. Choose which one you like the best, want to see, etc. Vote with a comment:

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

Boyhood (2014)

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (2022)
