Penn State Football 11/2/24 against Ohio State Preview
S. Samek
Big time matchup coming out of the Big Ten this weekend. Number four ranked Ohio State faces off against the number three ranked Penn State. Which of these two titans will emerge from this battle as victors? Let’s preview the action.
Penn State got it done against Wisconsin 28-13 this past week. This improved them to 7-0 and 4-0 in the Big Ten. Drew Allar went 14-18 passing for 148 yards and a touchdown. However, he left the game in the second half with a lower body injury. He looks to be a game-time decision to if he will play against Ohio State.
Ohio State is 6-1 this season and 3-1 in the Big Ten. After a loss to Oregon, they rebounded to beat Nebraska 21-17 during their last game.
Ohio State has a strong offense with an average of 40. 3 points per game, which is second ranked in the Big Ten and 11th nationally. Their defense is equally good as they rank number one in the conference in scoring defense allowing just 11.9 points per game and 254.4 yards per game.
Last season Ohio State defeated Penn State 20-12. In the all-time series Ohio State leads 25-14. Penn State struggles a bit too in matchups where both teams are in the top five of the poll with a 4-7 record and 17-60-1 all time against top five teams overall.
Can Penn State overcome the odds and win the game? Unfortunately I think their undefeated run ends. I’m predicting Ohio State 37-30.
