Penn State Football 10/12/24 Against USC Preview

Penn State has climbed into the top five heading into this week’s matchup against USC. The number four-ranked team in the country looks to stay undefeated on the road.

Penn State picked up a 27-11 win over UCLA last week. Drew Allar completed 17 passes for 237 yards and a touchdown in the win. Kaytron Allen rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown to lead the ground game. Liam Clifford was Penn State’s top receiver with 107 yards on just three catches.

Penn State enters this game 5-0 and 2-0 in the Big Ten conference.

USC is 3-2 and 1-2 in conference. They are coming off a 24-17 loss to Minnesota. USC is 1-1 against ranked opponents this year with a win over 13th-ranked LSU and a loss at 18th-ranked Michigan. USC is unranked though.

USC has bragging rights in the all-time series though at 6-4 heading into this week’s matchup. The last time the two teams met was in the 2017 Rose Bowel with USC winning a shootout 52-49.

My prediction is it won’t be so much of a shootout this time around. Penn State wins though 35-28.
