PBA All Star Weekend

The PBA tour is joining in on something pretty much every major sport does, the all-star game. Actually, it’s a full All-Star Weekend.

The event will be held at Phoenix Raceway and take place on March 6th-8th live, with the Tv shows being aired on March 15th-17th 2024.

The event will feature a skills showdown, a legacy cup of legends and rising stars and then the Nascar Invitational.

The skills showdown will have teams based on manufacture they represent like Storm, Brunswick, Movtiv. They will be doing trick shots and striking to see which brand is the best.

The legacy cup is between future hall of famers and current PBA rising stars. Should be fun to see, including a special guest appearance by Mike Aulby.

The Nascar Invitation is the standard bowler teams up with celebrity partner contest. It’s all Nascar drivers to go with the partnership between the PBA and Nascar for this event. It’s usually a fun idea, but I like the prior format with pro athletes and celebrities. Much like the Chris Paul Celebrity Invitational style.

I also think they had a missed opportunity to tie it in with the PBA Elite League. Have some kind of match with the best players from the league teams. Though this is the first one, so it’s something they could add in the future. I’m stillpretty excited for the event though!
