Painting an Unfortunate Watercolor Tin
Hi friends. Remember that awful set of watercolors I reviewed a couple of weeks ago?

Well, I liked the tin they came in so I discarded the paint and customized the tin with bright happy colors. Learn how in today’s video!
Supplies (affiliate links used)
Watercolor tin that is light or white: You can use white spray paint to change the color of an empty tin or get the paint set I did and remove the awful paint. (disclosure, I paid $13 for this tin and paints, I would not pay more even just for the tin, that’s just me)
Alcohol ink in bright colors, white and rainbow additive and extender
Old toothbrush
Something to cover your work area
Polycrylic (by Minwax) sealer, I used gloss. Use a water-based sealer because oil based sealers can react adversely with the inks and sometimes not dry well.
Other ideas!
If you have mint tins or metal pencil boxes you would like to do this to you totally can. You can always use white glossy spray paint for a base and ink over it. The Dollar Tree has self adhesive thumb rings if you want to add a ring to the back. There are so many ways to make a fun custom palette (you might even have as much fun altering your palette as you do using it!) Happy crafting!
