Over the Moon (2020)

Director: Glen Keane, John Kahrs

In this animated musical, a girl builds a rocket ship and blasts off, hoping to meet a mythical moon goddess.

In the blink of an eye, ‘Over the Moon’ went from an emotional story with stunning animation to a silly kiddies adventure with cartoon animation.

The film started off promising with a very powerful message. It then so suddenly morphed into a silly cartoon that I actually thought – and hoped – it was all a dream. But alas, unfortunately it wasn’t and the silly adventure actually happened. I mean, what the hell?? I completely lost interest and hit the forward button a few times. I couldn’t wait for it to end.

Enough said. (Very young) Kids might enjoy this…

Would I watch it again? Definitely not.
