Oshkosh gets contested WIAC preseason nod

A year after going 8-0 in the WIAC before making the national semifinals, UW Oshkosh is the preseason favorite to win the conference. But it was far from unanimous. Oshkosh got just five of the nine first-place votes. UW-Eau Claire got two and UW-Whitewater and UW-Platteville one apiece.

My opinion is no one will go undefeated in the WIAC this year, and Oshkosh and Eau Claire will be the top two teams. It could come down to tiebreakers like it often does in the perennial multibid league.

The WIAC SIDs have the order: Oshkosh, Eau Claire, Whitewater and Platteville. I would switch Whitewater and Platteville, but that seems about right. I also think Eau Claire and Oshkosh could be swapped. Could.
