The Oklahoma City Dodgers are moving on from the name in Dodgers in 2024. They will become the Oklahoma City Baseball Club, while looking for a unique new name. They state the reason is to have something more fresh and local.

I love when MILB teams do that. Being named after your parent club is so boring. I mean look at the transition from Rome Braves to Rome Emperors, that was awesome. It’s unique creative and not limited to having a specific team as your affiliate. Good for Oklahoma City picking a new team name. Though they will still remain as the Dodgers triple-a club.
