NWC Preview (2025)

The NWC came out with their conference volleyball preview/prediction article on the upcoming volleyball season. This conference only allows the coaches to vote and they cannot vote for their own team. This is by far the closest race we’ve seen and I doubt the SAA gets this close so let’s just declare it. Three teams received first-place votes and that was really the difference between them. Whitworth received 4 votes and the most overall points, followed by Pacific Lutheran with 3 first-place votes and then Puget Sound who had 2 first-place votes. There was a big drop to George Fox who finished fourth. Remember that the NWC only takes 4 teams to the conference tournament.

In my Preseason Top 25, I failed to rank any of the NWC teams. After much back-and-forth, I think I would go with Puget Sound simply because they return the most talent. I’d probably go with PLU and then Whitworth but it’s all going to come down to health and who recruited the best. Remember that only Puget Sound and Linfield lost less than 40% of their stats from graduation (or early departures). I guess that would make Linfield my dark horse in this conference.
