Nurse with Wound (abbreviated NWW) is the main recording name for British musician Steven Stapleton. Nurse with Wound was originally a band, formed in 1978 by Stapleton, John Fothergill and Heman Pathak. The band’s work has explored genres such as industrial, noise, dark ambient, and drone.

The two songs are the opening and closing tracks in NWW’s album Huffin’ Rag Blues (United Dairies/Jnana, 2008).The opening track is short, whereas the closing one is almost 15 minute-long. Nothing better than Nurse With Wound to put in practice Nietzsche’s advice as for the need to “exercise effort and good will” in order to endure all kinds of sound, in spite of its strangeness, to have “patience towards its aspect and expression and indulgence towards what is odd in it; in the end there comes a moment when we are accustomed to it, when we expect it, when it dawns upon us that we should miss it if it were lacking…” To rejoice with the strange beauty of Nurse With Wound…

All of me Why not take all of me? Can’t you see? I’m no good without you Take my lips I want to lose them Take my arms I’ll never use them

Your goodbye left me with eyes that cry How can I go on, dear, without you? You took the part that once was my heart So, why not take all of me?

All of me Why not take all of me? Can’t you see? I’m no good without you Take my lips I want to lose them Take my arms I’ll never use them

Your goodbye left me with eyes that cry How can I go on, dear, without you? You took the best So, why not take the rest? Baby, take all of me.
