North Central U rejoins UMAC as associate member

North Central University will be an associate member of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference in 16 sports, including women’s volleyball, beginning with the 2012-13 academic year. NCU was a full member of the UMAC from the 1980s through the mid-1990s.

NCU, located in Minneapolis, was a Division III independent institution before accepting the UMAC invitation. UMAC presidents will address NCU’s future membership status during the 2012-13 year.

NCU essentially takes the place of Presentation College, which left the UMAC in all sports after the 2011-12 academic year. Presentation is now a D-III independent.
