New Costco Food/Drinks for July 2025

Jul 22, 2025
6 min read

As all Costco members know, the company is continually adding new items to its inventory. Unfortunately, because of the limited total number of items sold at any one time (Freedom of or from choice?), the introduction of new items means the discontinuation of others (It’s Gone? Discontinued Products). However, the novelty factor and some of the items themselves potentially outweigh the loss of some items. I came across some lists of new items for July and decided to highlight the foods. It was unclear if these are seasonal items or semi permanent items. Some sound very good.

1. Kirkland Signature Marshmallow Crispy Cookies

One of the new items at Costco in July are these bakery cookies. Sold in packs of 24, the cookies are butter cookies with marshmallows and crispy rice pieces. They have received high ratings.

I love butter cookies but am not interested in the additions. Despite liking Rice Krispies (especially soggy with banana…I know, I’m weird), I don’t like crispy rice in other products (e.g., Krackle bars; ice cream bar coatings). I also don’t think marshmallow adds much beyond too much sweetness. However, for those looking for a non chocolate treat with some textured contrast, these fit the bill.

2. Butter Sugar Palmier

A second item introduced to the Costco bakery in July are these Butter Sugar Palmiers. They are sold in packages of nine. They have received positive reviews for their buttery flavor and crunchy texture.

I have never had a Palmier. I wouldn’t choose these over other bakery items, although I have little doubt that they are good.

3. Butter Cinnamon and Sugar Loaf

A bakery product making a reappearance in July is this loaf cake. The 38 ounce loaf is a butter pound cake with a cinnamon and sugar topping. Reviews mention the strong cinnamon flavor, due to the addition of the spice in the batter and well as in the topping.

I have mentioned this loaf before (Current Popular Desserts at Costco). Given how much I like pound cake and the combination of cinnamon and sugar, I think I would like this cake very much. In addition, I read that it is not as sweet as many other cakes and bakery products, which is more to my preference. I imagine that it would also taste great with a scoop of ice cream to get the textural contrast between the dense cake and the smooth ice cream.

4. Mary Macleod’s All Butter Shortbread Cookies

Members can also find a new baked good in July that is not baked in the Costco bakery. These shortbread cookies are sold in two tins, each containing 65 cookies in two varieties (classic shortbread; chocolate crunch).

I had never heard of this brand so I looked at its website. They appear to be a gourmet type bakery which does most of the business through mail orders.

5. Annie’s Bees, Bugs & Butterflies

A new snack being sold in Costco in July are these gummy snacks. The packages contain 50 1.7-ounce individual packages of the gummy candies that contain three fruit flavors (strawberry; raspberry; apple) mixed with honey. Reviews comment positively about the soft texture.

I don’t eat gummy snacks but I can see these being a huge hit for kids, given the fun shapes and flavors.

6. Frollies Strawberry & Mango Variety Pack

A new item perfectly timed are these ice pops, sold in packs of 24 bars in two flavors (strawberry; mango). The bars are made from fruit juice and purees, and have the texture of sorbet.

I actually recently went to this website after seeing this product advertised in grocery stores. The bars look great as they are made in the shapes and colors of the fruits (they remind me of individual versions of that old watermelon roll for those familiar with the Massachusetts-based chain Friendly’s). They look perfect for kids (or kid-like adults). I don’t love these flavors but I’m be tempted anyway because of fun they look.

8. Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Bites

Another new frozen item in July are these cookie dough ice cream bites. Sold in boxes of 30, the bites consist of vanilla ice cream surrounded by chocolate chip cookie dough.

I was unable to to find anything about this company or product online. The concept sounds great though. Although I rarely choose it over other flavors, I do enjoy cookie dough ice cream and this product seems like a way to ensure that each bite contains both dough and ice cream (vs when the ice cream lacks enough chunks of dough).

9. Pisti Pistachio Cream

The article lists this cream as a new popular item that can be used in a variety of ways (baking; on ice cream). Jars are 21.2 ounces.

I had never heard of this product. I was not able to find many descriptions of it but it appears to be a spread made from pureed pistachios, sugar, and oil. It seems like it may be similar to the pistachio filling in Dubai chocolate. Although I like the nuts themselves, i am not interested in them mixed with any other ingredients (including chocolate).

10. Califa Farms Strawberry Creme

A new drink at Costco in July is this variation of a beverage sold at Starbucks. The drink contains healthier ingredients (strawberry cream; fruit juice; coconut) and gets positive reviews.

I don’t go to Starbucks so I don’t know much about the original version. I like fresh strawberries but I don’t like strawberry flavored foods (e.g., ice cream; jam; candy). However, if it were a flavor I like more (e.g., raspberry), I’d be interested because it does sound like a good combination of ingredients. I was unable to find information about how the product is sold at Costco (e.g., size; amount of bottles).

6. Snapdragon Ramen Chili Crunch

For those looking for a spicy fix this summer, Costco is now selling this chicken-flavored noodle soup in packages of six 4.23-ounce bowls. The bowls come with all of the ingredients (ramen noodles; vegetable packet; seasoning packet; chili crunch packet).

This is definitely not an item for me but I saw positive reviews. It is also quite convenient. I used to like these types of soup bowls with the noodles and the slice packets.

11. BBQ Chicken Mac & Cheese with Bacon

A new, more substantial Costco offering is this macaroni and cheese. It is the traditional Kirkland Signature macaroni and cheese with the addition of bacon and Costco rotisserie chicken. Sold in the deli section, trays are 3.5-4 pounds and can be heated in the oven. Reviews are mixed, with members liking the taste but desiring more sauce and)or less grease.

Definitely not for me but I know a lot of people get very excited about any form of macaroni and cheese. It seems that this item is also a new way that Costco repurposes the chickens that are not sold within the two-hour period (Facts About the Costco Rotisserie Chickens).

12. Celsius Sparkling Energy Drinks

A new way that Costco will help members stay hydrated this summer is by the introduction of this beverage. Packages contain 18 cans in three flavors (Peach Vibe; Tropical Vibe; Retro Vibe).

I don’t typically drink fizzy beverages but these look pretty good. I did not include sparkling water/beverages in my post about products of which Costco seems to sell a higher than expected variety (“Strong” and “weak” sections of Costco) but I should have!

13. Liquid I.V. Electrolyte Drink Mix

Another hydration product introduced this July are these mixes sold in packages containing 30 individual servings. Costco has sold this sugar-free product before but the new flavor is Rainbow Sherbet flavor.

I have never tried any of these types of beverages. They are probably a good idea but I’d be more inclined to try a more basic flavor (e.g., lemon).

14. Oikos Protein Shakes

A different type of drink being introduced at Costco are these yogurt protein shakes. Each package contains 18 12-ounce bottles of the vanilla flavor. Each bottle contains 30 grams of protein and only one gram of sugar.

I didn’t realize that Oikos made protein shakes. I liked the Chobani drinks that Costco sold in the past (Product Review: Chobani vanilla yogurt drink) and that are still sold in grocery stores. The Oikos drinks do not appetite be kosher but I would have to see the actual item. If they are, I’d be interested in trying them because, despite being vanilla flavored, with so little sugar, they may not be overly sweet.

Will you be buying any of these new items?
