No. 2 Emory swept No. 1 Juniata tonight in Atlanta. Juniata played without injured All-American MH Erin Albert, and it showed in the box score. JC hit just .080, and Emory had 15 blocks in the three games.

From the JC Web site:

“Neither team played great volleyball, but there was a little more energy on their side of the net,” said Juniata head coach Larry Bock. “We got outplayed, and it was a pretty simple equation – we just came out of the blocks very slow.”

Juniata has been the No. 1 team since the preseason AVCA poll, unanimously since Week 2. But we should finally have a new No. 1 on Tuesday.
