Nanmanikkadikai

The Nanmanikkadikai is a Tamil poetic work of a philosophy and informative qualities belonging to the Patinenkilkanakku or Eighteen Lesser Texts, anthology of Tamil literature. This belongs to the post Sangam period corresponding to between 100 CE and 500 CE. The name Nanmanikkadikai denotes this fact comparing the four ideas to four well-chosen gems adorning each poem or each poems contain four different ideas. Nanmanikkadikai contains one hundred songs. It is written by the poet Vilambi Naganaar.
