MY TOP 100 BY DECADE

MY BIGGEST YEARS

2. 1994, 1997 — 5 movies each

3. 2009, 2004, 2014 — 4 movies each

MY TOP 100 BY GENRE

MY TOP DIRECTORS This is interesting because my favourite director has been, for a long time now, Martin Scorsese followed by Tarantino, the Coen Brothers, and Paul Thomas Anderson. But if you go by my top 100, the list of favourites looks very different:

1. Steven Spielberg — 6 movies

2. John Hughes — 5 movies

3.

4. Martin Scorsese, Mel Gibson — 3 movies each

5. Coppola, Hitchcock, Reeves, Reiner, Zemeckis — 2 movies each

6. All others, 67%, appear only once.

The only one of our nominees that is in my top 100 is Edward Scissorhands. However, the one with the most votes (and one that would fall in my top 200 for sure):

Congratulations Batman. This is your week.

And the Oscar goes to…

Best Actress:

Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice and as Kim in Edward Scissorhands

Best Actor: Jack Nicholson as Joker in Batman

Best Quote: “I’m a ghost with the most, babe.” — Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice in Beetlejuice

I actually did my top 100 about 7 years ago, then did a decade breakdown a year later and shared it on Facebook. My birthday is coming up, so I thought this was the perfect time for a completely selfish blog post. 😉
