Music Video Script
Having a good idea of how my music video will look, I decided to create a script describing approximately what will happen throughout. This allowed me to fine-tune my ideas as well as work out the timings of my video. For my script, I attempted to follow the industry standards and used the structure adopted by many music video directors. This consists of a list of the intended visuals on one half of the page, and the audio, FX, and lyrics on the other. I also ensured that I wrote down the timings of each part of the song: intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro, etc. to guide my script.

My music video script is appropriate for my genre & audience in various ways. It follows a simplistic narrative, whilst also incorporating performance shots which would appeal to the typical pop music audience. Furthermore, the narrative of insecurity shown throughout the script would be relatable to my younger audience. The camerawork will focus on the artist – this will increase the artist’s star appeal and will be of great interest to my intended younger audience.
