Moss Named South Atlantic League Player of the Month for August 2025

Callan Moss of the Greensboro Grasshoppers was named the South Atlantic League player of the month award winner for August 2025.

Moss hit .383 with six home runs and 19 RBIS this month and had an OPS of 1.091 and slugging % of .649. Moss was named the Soth Atlantic League player of the week during the week of August 11th, 2025, as well.

It’s good to see Moss have a monster month and be rewarded for it. I think him getting hot this month is key for the Greensboro Grasshoppers playoff chances. If he can continue to swing a good bat, that will be dangerous heading into the playoffs.

While Moss is currently not ranked in the Pittsburgh Pirates top 30 prospect list, I think if he keeps hitting like this we should be in consideration for the next list. Could we also maybe see Moss with an Arizona Fall League spot? I guess we shall have to wait and see.
